Vision of Khun Dan Prakarnchon Operation and Maintenance Project


Khun Dan Prakarnchon Operation and Maintenance Project is a sub agency performing works in accordance with the RID’s policy.Therefore, to comply with and to execute the RID’s policy, the Project follows the vision in the same direction as RID:

Royal Irrigation Department is an intelligent organization that emphasizes on water security, so as to increase the value of service within B.E.2579.”
Main goals of Khun Dan Prakarnchon Operation and Maintenance Project

Khun Dan Prakarnchon Operation and Maintenance Project  follows the RID’s policy; therefore, our main goals performs in compliance with the 4 dimensions of RID’s strategy map: mission effectiveness; services quality; performance efficiency; and organizational development.  RID has set the strategy map dividing 4 dimensions into 15 goals as follows:

        1.      Mission Effectiveness  (5 goals)
        2.     Services Quality (3 goals)
        3.     Performance Efficiency (3 goals)
        4.    Organizational development (4 goals)


Mission Effectiveness 


           1. Manageable water resources and volume are available for the extension of irrigated area; 
           2. Water management is supplied to all sectors thoroughly and equitably according the available capital water of each year;
           3. Economic loss caused by flood and drought disaster is reduced;                                 

           4. Local people and community participation is promoted to empowerment of irrigation management;

    5. Being an intelligent organization.

Services Quality


           1. Water situation forecast is modernized and accessible to the target groups rapidly;    

           2. Networks are increased to cover every water user group.

Performance Efficiency

           1. Adaptation of water use in agricultural sector is more efficient;   

           2. Agricultural economic value in irrigated area is increased; 
           3. Project development is supported from locality and province.   

Organizational development


           1. Appropriate database system, informational technology and organizational   k nowledge for irrigation work is implemented;

           2. Efficient work process is suitable for performance on digital information technology.

           3. Staff has high competence.

           4. Results of research and development are applied for irrigation work.

Mission of Khun Dan Prakarnchon Operation and Maintenance Project

           1. To develop water resources and to increase irrigated area according to their 

potential and natural balance;

           2. To manage water allocation in equitable and sustainable manners;

           3. To prevent and mitigate water hazards as appropriate mission;

           4. To encourage people participation in water resources management and development.
