Water Management for solution of drought after the dam completion

    Khlong Tha Dan Dam is capable to allocate the water to the area approximately 206,359 rai (33,017 ha), of which is irrigated area of 6,000 rai (960 ha) comprises:

Original Tha Dan Project 6,000 rai (960 ha) distributes the water to villagers by construction of lined concrete canal with the length of 21.91 km.  It helps to protect the water loss during the distribution.  This is the old royal project with long time practice and it used to serve the water for farmers about 10,000 rai (1,600 rai).
Besides, major problems have been solved after the Khlong Tha Dan Dam construction, by-product is indirect benefit advantageous greatly to Nakhon Nayok people, e.g. scenery and environment around the dam and reservoir will be promoted to be worthy tourist attraction in term of recreation and eco-tourism.  In addition, it is a breeding ground of a variety of aquatic animals and it is also the community of diversified birds.  It does not only generate the completeness of ecosystem and biodiversity, but also help create works and income to the locality immensely as royal intention that wish this nectar leads the happiness and fertility to his populace sustainably forever.

Khun Dan Prakarnchon Dam : Policy for people’s happiness

        • To be a great water resource and irrigation system which is able to store the water and allocate it systematically for agricultural area and to be water resource for domestic consumption in the Province;

          • To mitigate flood disaster on both banks of Nakhon Nayok River;

          • Farmers receive the benefit from the project about 5,400 households.

          • To use irrigation water wash the acid soil until the soil is suitable for cultivation.

          • To be fish breeding ground and fresh water fishery ground

          • To be a new eco tourist attraction.

          • Economy of Nakhon Nayok Province expands and villagers increase their income.
